leaving you in the lurch
When you're in trouble and your friends caused you to be in trouble, it spells a calamity.But what's worse is that you can't tell others that your friend was the cause of it all, for some reasons. That's terrible. You've no choice but to tell that friend that you'll settle it yourself, and that you're solely responsible.
But it sucks cos it looks like he's leaving you in the lurch.
Sigh.
